Dog trekking

Hiking. Each tourist goes in a team with a dog using special equipment. Groups of 2 people, accompanied by a guide-instructor. The route takes from 1.5 hours to 2 days. The route thread is suggested by the guide-instructor depending on your composition and level of physical fitness, weather and snow conditions.

About the musher club

The kennel is located in Sector E. Currently, 50 dogs live here, most of which are Siberian huskies. All are engaged in draft work and many participate in dog sled races. Champions are made here.

A musher is a person who not only drives a team, but also looks after them.

How the dogs live here

There is one enclosure in the kennel and inside you will see very young dogs. Adults are placed in individual places on a short leash. Each has its own booth - this is the traditional way of keeping sled breeds. This is how they are kept in large kennels: in Alaska, Canada and Europe.

With such infrastructure, it is easier to provide decent care and monitor the health of the animal.

Strict daily routine

There is no household training in the kennel, and all the strong-willed, working qualities of the dogs are demonstrated on the track.

At the same time, they behave calmly and kindly, because the mushers strictly follow the daily routine. And this is good news for those who are afraid of dogs: sled breeds do not have aggression towards people and guard instincts. They are transport, so they cannot be evil, because they have other tasks. During the excursion, you will be able to take photos, listen about their lives and meet each resident of the kennel.

Huskies are a breed that loves discipline. There is a clearly defined time for eating, training and a lot of sleep. These dogs are professional athletes and recover from seven in the evening until nine in the morning. At this time, no one bothers them. Therefore, plan your visit for the day.

Ride with champions

Each musher has his own team of dogs. The team is selected based on genetics, endurance level and personal preferences of the animal. Everything is thought out as much as possible.

The main criterion for selecting trails is safety for tourists. If you don't like walking, but want to admire the beauty of Sheregesh, we recommend you ride in a sled. Moreover, in this format it is easiest to shoot beautiful stories and dissolve in the moment.

If you fell in love with huskies and want to interact with them more professionally, then in the club "Siberian Trail" you can take special courses for mushers.

All proceeds go to the maintenance of the kennel and to pay for trips to competitions. By paying for the service, you help the dogs live in comfort and worthily represent our region in races.
