A tourist tax will be introduced in Sheregesh from January 1, 2025

From January 1, 2025, in accordance with the amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation (Chapter 33.1 "Tourist tax") and the decision of the Council of People's Deputies of the urban settlement "Resort Town of Sheregesh" No. 139 dated November 20, 2024, a new tourist tax is introduced in the territory of the resort town of Sheregesh.

Now every tourist who will stay in Sheregesh will be obliged to pay a tax amounting to 1% of the cost of accommodation per day. However, the amount of tax cannot be less than 100 rubles per night of stay, even if the cost of living is lower than this amount.

This measure is aimed at developing the tourist infrastructure and improving the quality of services in Sheregesh, which will improve the recreation conditions for all guests of the resort. The funds received from the tax will be used to improve the city, develop cultural and sports events, as well as improve transport and social infrastructure.

Please note that the tourist tax will be levied on each guest who lives in the territory of Sheregesh, regardless of the type of accommodation chosen – whether it is a hotel, a hotel, a boarding house or a private apartment rental.
