Delegation from China discovered real Siberia: how guests from Middle Kingdom conquered Sheregesh and got acquainted with Mountain Shoria traditions

From March 8 to 12, our resort hosted special guests. By invitation of Siberian Airports company, Shermont hotel and Kuzbass Tourism Agency, Sheregesh was visited by delegation of bloggers and tour operators from China. For us this was not just working meeting, but opportunity to show friends from Middle Kingdom what Siberian land truly breathes with. First acquaintance: from virtual tour to real powder Acquaintance with resort for guests began with visit center. Here, besides useful information about routes and events, surprise awaited them - virtual excursion around Sheregesh using 3D model. This allowed Chinese tour operators to immediately evaluate resort scale, and already next day they could check their impressions live, racing down slopes on skis and snowboards. They say famous Siberian powder (that very soft snow) conquered them from first descent! Dialogue about cooperation For tour operators program was not only entertaining, but also business. Meetings with representatives of regional tourism industry passed in warm but productive atmosphere. Discussed main thing: how to make guests from China comfortable to vacation in Sheregesh, and what new routes can be offered in nearest future. Siberian soul: deer, alpacas and shaman legends But, as known, main thing in any journey is emotions. And here we tried to surprise our guests. Bloggers enthusiastically got acquainted with inhabitants of musher club Siberian Trail, admired fluffy alpacas at farm and even visited northern deer at Olenegesh. And to understand region soul, went to ethnography museum - there guests learned about life and culture of Shors and saw with own eyes Golden Shoria monument. Completion of cultural journey was immersion in Russian culture at folklore center Paraskeva Pyatnitsa in Novokuznetsk. Guests not only inspected health center, but truly evaluated Siberian approach to rest and strength recovery. Delegation tried health procedures, which, by their admission, gave incredible lightness after active days at resort. But main discovery, as usual, became cuisine. In evening for guests table was set that they will hardly forget. Here was everything most real: tender grayling, just from local rivers, aromatic pelmeni from maral meat with cedar nut, herbal tea collected in Shoria mountains, and, of course, honey in combs - thick, viscous and fragrant. This dinner at Romashka became for guests from China point of real gastronomic zen and once again proved: Mountain Shoria knows how to surprise not only with its slopes, but also with its soul, which reveals in little things - in each new taste and sincere smile.
