Sheregesh has its own kind spirit: history of creating cartoon about guardian of mountain slopes

Main ski resort of Siberia has acquired own animated hero. Cartoon Sheregeshka Yetik and Mysteries of Mountain Shoria has appeared online, which has already become loved by resort guests. Main hero - Yetik - was born not accidentally. Ivan Klimentiev, who grew up in Tashtagol, remembers Sheregesh back from 90s, when there were only couple of lifts there. Desire to create positive symbol of favorite place came in 2014, and character was named by mountains themselves: Sheregesh + Yeti = Sheregeshka Yetik. Interestingly, long before cartoon appearance, character had own life: on social networks he consulted tourists, published resort news and conducted international contests. Subscribers from USA, China and Europe photographed Yetik image against background of their countries attractions. Realizing full animation was possible only now, and artificial intelligence helped in this. Authors admit that each minute of screen time required painstaking work: sometimes creating one one-and-a-half-minute scene took several evenings.
